New Home on the Water in Kailua

When building a new Home there are a many things to consider; here are a few popular questions that we help you ask yourself during the design phase of the project. What do I want the main focus of the new home to be? What do I want guest to see when they walk in? Are there views or areas I want to take advantage of in my new design? This New Home on the Water in Kailua was build with these focus questions in mind.

First, the homeowners wanted the exterior of the home to POP! and really stand out from the moment you drive onto the street. To achieve this they chose a vibrant Sherwin-Williams painted called “Moody Blue”. This blue not only stands out from the front of the home but really goes nicely with the back and being right on the water. Another way they made this happen was a beautiful bright Candy Red entry door. It stands out but is still in inviting, leaving you to wonder what the home looks like on the inside.

Secondly, in working through the design phase, it is right to ask yourself ‘what should my guest see when they first walk in?’ In this case, Homeworks kitchen designer came up with a kitchen that they loved so much they wanted this to be it! The wide open space with the multi-colored cabinets and vaulted drywall ceilings truly creates a grand entrance. Which also involves another question to ask yourself and that is about taking advantage of a view.

For this home is was easy. Being right on the water the homeowners wanted to be able to walk right in and feel like they were out on a boat. The way this was achieved was by big sliding glass doors to create a full scenic view of the water right from the Kitchen and Living room as you can see in the pictures.

These questions were asked, answered and executed and Homeworks will do this uniquely and individually for each project and has done so for the past 20 years.
